Michela Balzino

In my current appointment, I am the environmental focal point to manage various environmental initiatives to reduce the UN Secretariat's supply chain impact on the environment in the areas of monitoring and reduction of GHG emissions, water consumption, wastewater treatment, hazardous waste management, packaging reduction, reverse logistics, sustainable procurement, etc. These initiatives aim to establish a more circular and responsible supply chain management, and in collaboration with technical experts, I am managing them at the HQ level and monitoring their implementation at the mission level.
