Water in Cans for Planes

In the early year 2022, Virgin Atlantic Airlines partnered with CanO Water to offer cans of water on flights. The initiative Virgin Atlantic has removed millions of plastic bottles from its service offerings annually, which will be a significant first step toward reducing the annual usage of billions of plastic water bottles in the aviation sector. Virgin Atlantic aims for all category lines to be sustainable or devoid of single-use plastic by switching to canned water in addition to recycling and reusing materials whenever feasible. Large-scale plastic usage reduction is considered ecologically sound from the standpoint of effect, and operating a lighter aircraft enables a reduced carbon footprint throughout the flight.
