In commemoration of World Environment Day and in support of the Swedish Environment Protection Agency’s campaign “What are you doing on WED?”, the Sustainable Lifestyles and Education Programme of the One Planet Network created a video featuring young researchers from co-lead institutes SEI and Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES).

Our lifestyles choices is closely linked to the triple planetary crises: climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. The latest IPCC report also explicitly points out the urgency of facilitating the changes of our lifestyles and behavior, which have the potential to cut down the required greenhouse gases by 40-70% by 2050 if supported by enabling policy, infrastructure and technology. Addressing these interconnected environmental emergencies through lifestyles could be complex and overwhelming, but it could also be an opportunity to live a quality life of better wellbeing.
