Framed by its commitment to caring for the Planet, NH Hotel Group has reinforced its flagship circular economy initiative - CORK2CORK - thanks to which it gives a second life to the cork stoppers collected at the restaurants located in some of the Company's hotels.
NH Hotel Group has strengthened its signature circular economy programme, CORK2CORK, through which it provides the cork stoppers collected at the restaurants. Since 2011, CORK2CORK has prevented the emission of 37,221 kg of carbon dioxide, aiding in developing a low-carbon economy. Encouraged by the positive outcomes thus far, having collected 1,994 kg of cork for reuse in the building of 300 new rooms- about 8,000 sqm.
