Rapid Building Performance Assessment of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Kigali, Rwanda
The walk-through audit of the building assesses key resource efficiency parameters (energy, water and waste) by benchmarking against similar facilities within comparable context, and suggest a list of recommendations for improvement and the associated climate actions and operational cost savings with an aim to convert the existing building into a green building.
The list of recommendations at the end of the report enable the building owner (government), facility manager and building occcupants to take decisions to enhance the resource efficiency of the building. These include short to long term measures of varying costs. The actions also range from procurement specifications, maintenance regime, equipment change to behaviour changes.
