One Planet Network 360 Degree Video Series

We are most proud of how the creation of this series has helped the programmes see themselves in a new way. Working with the partners in the field was extremely inspirational for all of the members of the film crew. There are always so many challenges when filming in the field-- particularly when on a very tight production schedule-- believe us, things will happen! Tires will go flat, cars will get stuck in the mud, cameras will be too cold to turn on, the light will be too dark to capture the desired shot-- if you can imagine it, it can go wrong! Our biggest lesson through all the tribulations we experienced on the shoots was to keep moving forward no matter what! We had to practise communicating new needs as they emerged and found that staying positive was a lot easier when we could take a step back and try to laugh at the frustrating situations (easier said than done!) It was all worth it as feedback for the 360 degree video series has been resoundingly positive. So far, the videos have been screened at HLPF 2018 in New York and a screening party for UN Environment colleagues in Paris. Upcoming screenings include the 2nd Global Conference for Sustainable Food Systems (#goodfood, February 2019) and UNEA 4 (#solvedifferent, March 2019).
