Launch of a video: 'a turn for the better'
To inform policy makers about the priorities of Bolivian female actors in the food system (food producers, traders, vendors, consumers); to inform the policy debate around the preservation of indigenous diets and equal rights and opportunities for women in the Bolivian food system.
The production and launch of the Bolivian Hivos/IIED video 'A turn for the better' served to inform the policy debate in Bolivia around food security and nutrition, and specifically around 1) equal rights and opportunities for women in the food system; and 2) the preservation of indigenous and native crops/food as a main ingredient for healthy and balanced diets and as a key element for resilient and sustainable food systems. The video was used in the first meeting of the Hivos/IIED Bolivia Women's Food Change Lab in October 2018, and was selected as a finalist for the 2019 SIMA documentary awards (https://simaawards.org/2019-finalists/)
