Integrated Waste Management Guideline for Food Sector Industry

Development and implementation of a demostrasted project on waste prevention and management to reduce the food loses and waste in restaurants in Bogota.
Enhanced capacity of restaurants to implement best practices on food waste prevention and management. The project was an example of engagement with private sector. Cooperation with the Bogota Chamber of Commerce was key to get the interest from the sector. Partner organizations are interested to start a second phase of the project. Resources will be provided by the Bogota Chamber of Commerce. Selected restaurants for the implementation of pilot projects are start seeing the first results in terms of waste reduction.
