Initiatives to remove marine plastic litter from our life-sustaining waterways

Rivers are living entities that hold the capacity to transform an ecosystem, economy and environment. Ganga, a river of high religious importance, provides livelihoods to millions of people. Today, this river has been contaminated to a level that it is one of the world's top 10 rivers to carry plastic pollution in the ocean. 

The photobook through an emotional and poetic journey highlights the importance of the river, reasons for its deplorable state. It also highlights Development Alternatives initiatives in Haridwar in Uttrakhand and Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, to combat the plastic leakage entering into river Ganga.
