Guidelines for Providing Product Sustainability Information - video
The video presents the 10 principles of the Guidelines for Providing Product Sustainability Information, a product from the Consumer Information Program (CI-SCP), part of the One Planet network, developed by the United Nations Environment Program and the International Trade Centre in 2020.
Providing information about the sustainability of products and services is a challenge for many companies and organizations. In order to help them achieve more effective and reliable communication with consumers, the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the Akatu Institute, NGO based in Brazil which works to raise awareness for conscious consumption, launch a video presenting the Guidelines for Providing Product Sustainability Information.
The video presents in a simple way and with examples, the 10 principles that make up the Guidelines. The first five, called Fundamentals Principles, are the initial steps to provide clear and reliable information on sustainability attributes. The other five, the Aspirational Principles, are complementary steps to develop an increasingly effective communication capable of sensitizing consumers to the importance of making more sustainable choices.
