Greenhouse Gas Abatement Cost Model (GACMO)is a spreadsheet-based tool designed to help accommodation businesses estimate their GHG emissions relating to energy and food use. It includes scopes 1, 2 and 3. Scope 3 measurement is limited to emissions relating to food. Tool is a free-to-download spreadsheet supported by manual and ideas for mitigation activities to help reduce emissions.
 
Tool designed and managed by UNEP, and tested in various destinations where UNEP runs programmes. This hotel specific version is an adaptation of a model and toll designed for countries through more than 20 years of research at UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre, and was used by several countries to prepare their INDCs.
 
Tool is a free-to-download spreadsheet supported by manual and ideas for mitigation activities to help reduce emissions.
