  • Published on April 29, 2022

This case study presents Evocco’s approaches, challenges and successes on communicating food sustainability information to consumers. It is one of a series of twelve case studies developed by UNEP, WWF and GlobeScan which include efforts by companies and labels to communicate food sustainability to consumers. The case study could be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

Evocco is a mobile app that helps people track, improve, and offset the carbon footprint of their food shopping. The app was founded in 2017 and launched in in November 2020 in Ireland and January 2021 in the UK.

Evocco’s goal is to help people track the carbon footprint of their food shopping. The Evocco team believe that helping consumers to track the climate impact of their food and providing them with more information about how they can improve this impact will encourage more informed shopping decisions, shift individual behaviour and drive wider systems change.
