Circular Built Environment Highlights from Asia
Asia has emerged as the world’s largest regional economy and its rise to global significance is evident from its growing production and consumption pattern. Rapid urbanization and industrialization in the region have increased the material and energy consumption in the built sector over the years and has become one of the largest contributors to GHG emissions and generation of C&DW. Following the severe slow down due to the outbreak of Covid 19 pandemic in 2020, Asian construction sector is bound to recover this year.
SBC has published regional reports on the state of play for circular built
