raise awareness in the sicentific community that there are alternatives to mainstream ideas such as "sustainable intensification" or "land sparing"
we are glad that we wre given the chance to publish an answer to an article that goes into a good direction, but not far enough to overcome the "status quo" of pesticide use in agriculture
