Wales Recycles (Sister brand to Recycle Now)

Brought to the public by WRAP Cymru, Wales Recycles is the national recycling campaign for Wales. Supported and funded by the Welsh Government, and adopted locally by local authorities and other partners, the campaign encourages citizens to recycle more things more often from all around the home.
Wales currently boasts the highest recycling rates in the UK, the second highest rate in Europe and the third highest in the world, and we want to see a continued growth through an on-going programme of engaging, inspiring and informative campaigning. Wales Recycles aims to: 1. To increase the amount of recycling, including greater participation by the general public 2. To reduce the amount of waste/increase waste prevention activity by general public generated in Wales 3. To increase the amount of reuse activity by the general public Data from the Recycling Tracker Report 2020 indicate a boost in Welsh recycling over the National lockdown – 21% more food waste recycling and 55% of citizens recycling more than in 2019. New annual data released by Welsh Government also reveals Wales’ overall recycling rate saw a huge boost this year, increasing from 63% in 2018/19 to 65% in 2019/20, exceeding its target of 64%.
