Urban youth as an engine for more sustainable lifestyles

The project targets enhancing sustainable lifestyle awareness among youth in Bogota. It will include a mapping of SL activities and resources in the city, key areas of opportunity for influencing lifestyles and will finish with a SL campaign targeting urban youth. The ultimate goal of which will be raising awareness of sustainable lifestyles and their importance as economies develop and the middle class expands. Events, roundtables, expert meetings, narrative developments, and research over the course of the project will facilitate understanding and action on what are lifestyles and what inspires behavioral changes, individually, organizationally, and systematically, towards sustainability.
The main results of the project yielded the following: Joint work with more than 20 initiatives that promote sustainable lifestyles in Bogotá, training of 30 young people in sustainability issues, more than 7,000 followers in the social networks of the project and 600 participants in events. The project achieved a representative sample of 740 young people from all locations in Bogotá who changed their lifestyle around the 5 domains, and for phase 2 of the project, planned for 2019, it seeks to continue increasing the number of young people They look for the sustainability of their city as well as implement the project in other cities of the country.
