Systems Thinking Education Programme
An Education programme comprised of 2 courses:
- Course 1: Introduction to Systems Thinking: 14 September – 16 October 2020
- Course 2: Systems Leadership, The Earth Charter and SDGs: 19 October – 20 November 2020.
The facilitator of these courses is Anupam Saraph, a systems thinker, future designer, and scientist.
The first course of this education programme will equip individualsduals with the ability to recognize the systems that they are a part of, its constituents, the purpose that binds them together, and the places to intervene in the system.
The course will build individual and organizational capacity to address the systemic causes for the problems and challenges of their fragile, unsustainable systems that usually lack resilience. It will provide the participants an opportunity to develop habits to see the whole, and the habits that drive the behaviour and change that affects them, not just the parts that show the symptoms that they work hard to hide.
The second course will build individual and organizational capacity to address the systemic causes for the problems and challenges of the systems that decide to embrace the vision of the Earth Charter and the SDGs. It will provide participants with an opportunity to develop habits to see the whole relating to the Earth Charter or the SDGs. It will provide them with the opportunity to build the habits that drive the behaviour and change that affects the Earth Charter and the SDGs, not just the parts that constitute the indicators of the symptoms that they work hard to hide. This education programme aims at to building a global system of systems leaders who help their organizations to discover meaningful missions that will transition our ways of living on the planet to become sustainable.
