Sustainable quinoa value chain from Peru to Belgium

The increasing demand for quinoa in Belgium and it's characteristics as a food for the future (future-proof product) meant we wanted to investigate and improve a food chain from Peru to Belgium as an example (or future reference).
Main challenge: this is a pilot project (34 tons). To have a real and bigger impact we need to scale up this chain. Availability and timing: having constant and enough stock for the retailer remains a challenge. Price negotiations remains a slow process between buyers and suppliers. Needs time and understanding between buyers and suppliers.
