Sustainable cross-border Renewable Micro Power Plant initiative

Overall objective of the project is to strengthen and mobilize research and innovation capacity in the area into solving key renewable energy issues, thus contributing to renewable energy utilization through smart secure, competitive and sustainable cross-border Micro Power Plant initiative.Project output is: Hybrid solar-wind power module for Micro power plants (MPP) developed, put to production and promoted. Awareness raising and promotion is part of the sustainability, along with education.
Overall objective of the project is to strengthen and mobilize research and innovation capacity in the programme area into solving key renewable energy issues, thus contributing to renewable energy utilization trough smart secure, competitive and sustainable cross-border Micro Power Plant initiative. Renewable energy utilization is one of the main tools for sustainable energy and climate change mitigation development. The programme area has favorable conditions in terms of renewable energy resources. In terms of development of sustainable energy, in selected NUTS regions there is great potential for development of primarily solar, but also wind (as a good combination for ensured stability of the system) energy projects. These developed technologies will not be the sole solution and output of the project. Overall goal will be achieved through education on energy consumption and renewable energy in buildings, demonstrating the integrated solutions of NZEB, which are considered to have most of the energy produced in the locality of consumption. That is, as defined in Energy Performance of Building Directive, best practice for defining energy consumption in buildings of the program area. Micro power plant technology development: This activity includes: 1.) Development of the aluminum structural concepts of hybrid wind-photovoltaic systems in a unique modular concept of modules for producing electricity power of 1 kW 2.) Development of control software concept for the control, management and conversion of electrical energy from hybrid module to electrical grid and 3.) Analysis execution and determination of the optimum integration of the different structural and functional geometry mini vertical rotors to generate electricity from wind and photovoltaic panels, in order to achieve maximum efficiency . Development is done by technical staff of FESB and INTERA, and the goal is more efficient RE technology in the cross-border area. Micro power plant technology implementation: This activity includes first industry production of hybrid micro power plant module (MPP) for residential areas and its implementation on public buildings in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. The activity perceives technology transfer, module production by local distributor (contracted) and local implementation. The instalment place is selected on public tender, and end-user will cover the cost of installation. The result is promotion of MPP concept in the area and promotion of RE in general. Case study analysis: On the basis of the adopted structural and functional concept of the hybrid module for the production of electricity from sun and wind, to the study of production, cost analysis and price, cost effectiveness, and potential marketability and in demand determine the reasonableness of the project. It will simultaneously define the next steps in surrounding analysis and analyses the market and an increase in product placement - power plants based on conceptualized hybrid module. Communication and promotion activities are one of the pillars on which the entire action lays. The purpose of Work package Communication is to ensure that project is communicated and disseminated at both national and on EU level. Installed 80kWe power in the form of small renewable energy sources - Micro combined wind and solar Energy consumption of public buildings lowered trough education on joint RES-EE projects; Capacities of research and development institutions in further renewable energy solutions development strengthened; Sustainable policy solutions for RES developed All of these solutions contribute program result indicator.
