Refashion Hub Project

CRB worked with Purpose Climate Lab to increase stakeholder awareness on industrial wastewater reuse in the Indian apparel and textile sector. This project was held under the ReFashion Hub.

The ReFashion Hub is a collective working to bring together multiple stakeholders invested in wastewater reuse and management in the textile industry with long term positive climate impact. The stakeholders include textile bodies, industry leaders, fashion businesses, young designers, artisans and consumers to drive conversation about wastewater generated by the textile and water industry.

The apparel and textile sector is the second most polluting sector in the world, after oil and gas. Urgent changes are required in consumer behaviour as well as production processes to make the sector green. The sector is also a huge source of employment . SCP is a must for this sector to transform and create green jobs.
