One Planet Living framework in application within Villages Nature
Villages Nature® Paris is an innovative approach to sustainable tourism as its blueprint is centered around the concrete targets of a Sustainable Action Plan based on Bioregional’s 10 principles of One Planet Living: zero carbon, zero waste, sustainable transport, local and sustainable materials, local and sustainable food, sustainable water, natural habitats and wildlife, culture and community, equity and economic development, and health and happiness.
Informing the stakeholders about the achievements and convincing them that the objectives are met. This report is available on the shareholders website, and on the web site dedicated to Village Nature project. Among the results: 1) Press releases, 2) Contribution to the brand image and the licence to operate of Villages Nature and its two shareholders (Euro Disney S.C.A. and Group Pierre et Vacances Center Parcs) by published information to all its stakeholders (institutions, shareholders, internal team, local communities, and consumers) In its Annual Review for 2015/16, Villages Nature® Paris reported the highlights of its outstanding SCP outcomes for 2016, including 100% heat energy from geothermal sources, a carbon footprint that is 28% lower than the baseline average, and 37% of Aqualagon water cleaned and reused onsite.
