LEADearthSHIP (A TERI-Tetra Pak Youth Initiative)

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Tetra Pak India are proud to initiate ‘LEADearthSHIP' – a youth program for undergraduate and post graduate students from Delhi NCR and Pune. LEADearthSHIP focuses on business and sustainability and aims to be the spring board for future youth leaders in India who have their world views deeply rooted in sustainability, ethics and co-existence. It is based on the belief that young people of the country must be engaged in ideation, innovation and action that would ensure holistic development of the nation.
a) Prepare youth for leadership roles in their institutions, communities and cities to contribute to the sustainable growth of India. b) Educate and expose youth to local and global sustainable development issues. c) Facilitate understanding of innovation and cutting edge sustainable practices by industry leaders. d) Impart knowledge on the triple bottom line (people, planet, profit) of business and enable learning through the example of Tetra Pak's sustainability initiatives specially recycling of used Tetra Pak cartons. e) Develop competencies in young people to integrate sustainability in thought and practice in any field and vocation. a) LEADearth Fellowship b) Future Leaders Cafe c) Antarctica Calling Contest d) Leadership Lectures e) Online Activism 24 Fellows from Delhi and Pune successfully completed 8 Projects and impacted close to 18,000 people. The regular updates on the Facebook Page are constantly checked by more than 2,300 people who have liked it. Applications are open for LEADearthSHIP Phase II. Application deadline: August 15, 2014.
