Green Procurement Standards(Regulations) for China Retail Enterprises (Industrial Standard)
This standard stipulates the relevant regulations for the implementation of green procurement in the procurement business of retail enterprises.This standard is applicable to the purchase of various products and services by retail enterprises with a certain procurement scale, including physical retail enterprises and e-commerce retail enterprises. The formulation of this standard aims to provide a reference for the implementation of key processes and links for retail enterprises. As a industrial standards proposed by the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC, this standard will provide active technical support for retail companies to actively implement green consumption, implement and strengthen the procurement of green products and services. Through the implementation of standards, it is possible to further promote retail companies to implement green procurement and green supply chain management, reduce the environmental impact of distribution links, and then expand the consumer market for green products.
This standard includes technical content such as normative references, terms and definitions, general requirements and principles, formulating green procurement strategies, establishing internal green procurement mechanisms, procurement and supply chain management, disclosure of green procurement information, and consumer information communication. The appendix includes a self-assessment form for the progress of retail companies in implementing green procurement. The Standard is currently under final approval process, and expected to be released in early half of 2020. This standard is applicable to online and offline procurement links of retail enterprises, and provides practical guidelines for companies to practice green procurement, and to build a green supply chain.
During the Public opinion equirie period, there are 80 companies are outreached to provide feedbacks of the standard. This Standard is still under final approval process of the Ministry of Commerce. When it is published, the publicity and corporate practices plans will follow.
