The German Government's National Network on Sustainable Consumption

  • Published on January 23, 2018
The 'National Network for Sustainable Consumption' helps promoting the implementation of the National Programme on Sustainable Consumption and strengthening the social commitment towards sustainable consumption.
Practical exchange between all relevant players is especially encouraged in order to develop synergies for bringing about consumption patterns, lifestyles and markets, as well as to establish a reference for political processes at the global level. The last meeting brought together over 180 actors to learn from success stories and how other projects overcame challenges, and define collaboration opportunities to develop joint projects. 5 sessions presented 4 projects each: Concrete climate protection (Chair: UBA) Regional diversity from the producer and consumer perspective (Moderation: BMEL / BLE) Standards and sustainability (Moderated by GIZ) New ways of consumption (Moderation: DLR-PT) Digitalization and Online Consumption (Moderation: UBA) The event finished with an innovative form of summary through an impro theater group. https://www.k-n-k.de/veranstaltungen/3-netzwerktreffen-2018
