DIKU project: “INN builds capacity”.

The project focuses on strengthening students’ generic skills, resilience and capacity for change and the use of Virtual Reality technologies in teacher training.
The main goal of the project is to test and evaluate different variations of flipped-classroom. This means that teacher training students can be introduced to new curricula outside of the classroom and actively participate in their own learning process. A stimulator will provide students with challenges and experiences they may face being in a real-life class situation. Through innovative thinking and active forms for learning, students capacity towards working life can be strengthened and the quality of education improved. Todays students will potentially work in areas that are not in existence yet, and INN believes it is important to strengthen the generic skills and capacity for change, in future teachers. -implement digital simulation as a work method and case-based teaching in the programme plans in GLU 5-10 -develop a digital simulation of a developmental conversation at high-school level with different scenarios connected to school children's professional and social competancies and cultural affiliation. -establish a learning arena for reflective guidance and collaborative learning -increase the digital professional competencies of our employees, supervisors for practical experiences and students of the primary school children education 5-10. -develop, test and evaluate digital simulation in a virtual world as method for training your skills in developmental conversations and strengthen students skills and generic competencies within home-school collaboration. -prepare and develop training modules and routines for teaching support with digital simulation and case-based teaching. -strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration across faculties and institutes at the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences.
