Development of ecotourism program in protected areas and local residents' capacity building
Protected areas are usually used for ecotourism but local residents have limited knowledge or skill for leading ecotourism development. So there was a project to educate local residents living in national parks and help them to develop ecotourism programs in their national parks.
To enhance local residents' understanding of ecotourism and build their capacity of ecotourism development. Workshop has implemented in the local area and suggested ecotourism programs suitable for the protected area. We expect more active local residents' participation in ecotourism development based on their increased understanding of protected areas and responsible tourism development.
