CGF Forest Positive Coalition of Action
The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF)’s Forest Positive Coalition of Action is led by 19 of the world’s leading consumer goods retailers and manufacturers with a shared commitment becoming forest positive businesses by removing deforestation, forest degradation and conversion from key commodity supply chains, positively impacting the world’s forests.
Leverage collective action and accelerate systemic efforts to remove deforestation, forest degradation and conversion from key commodity supply chains. In 2020, the CGF Forest Positive Coalition mobilised to advance on its objectives to remove deforestation, forest degradation and conversion key commodity supply chains. Through member alignment and engagement with stakeholders, members have published the Coalition’s first two Commodity Roadmaps which guide how members will take action against deforestation in their palm oil and soy supply chains. The Coalition has developed and strengthened its relationships with stakeholders by consistently engaging with them in a transparent and dialogic manner. The Coalition has also advanced on workplans around four Coalition-wide actions which focus on supplier and trader engagement; stakeholder engagement; government engagement; and production landscape enagagement.
