Buyer Groups SPP

15 Buyer Groups were initiated in 2020 as a follow up of the Green Deal Circular Procurement (2013-2020). The Green Deal's success was the focus on practioner's and learning by doing: do a pilot and share knowledge. The Buyer Groups are a next step in changing the market by collaboration; needed to start the scaling of pilots and bridging the gap for sustainability and innovations. 15 Buyer Groups have been started in 2020 varying from textiles, polymers, ICT to asphalt.

Focused market strategies by a collaboration of procurement organisations to create more sustainable impact in CO2, Circularity, Chemicals, waste reduction and Transparancy in the chain. The strategy is implemented in collaboration in market events and practice in projects, moving from pilots to scaling. Some sectors will also include the international dimension, like ICT, Textiles and Transport The initiative is still ongoing and focusses on actual projects with impact on CO2 reductions, Circularity and Social aspects.
