"Aportes de la educación ambiental para el desarrollo de la sociedad" ("Contributions of environmental education to the development of society")

The main objectives of this initiative are to provide a cognitive frame and methodological and didactic tools to enhance teaching practices in environmental issues, at the elementary, primary, middle and higher levels of education. It is leading to a change in the environmental conversation, which has started at the teachers' level and is rapidly replicating by the students. It has had a positive impact so far, with new institutions participating in the activities every year, since 2016, and since last year the workshops are requested to take place in neighbouring communities as well. The most important landmark was the certification by the Ministry of Education obtained in 2018 to include this training as a scored activity in the official scoring system.
