4 Billion Dreams: The Asia Pacific Sustainable Lifestyles Challenge aims to mobilise and support young people with great ideas on how to foster sustainable low-carbon lifestyles in order to turn these ideas into reality.
Calling all Dreamers! Do you dream about members of your community leading a more sustainable lifestyle? Do you have an idea on how to make that a reality?
Young entrepreneurs, citizens, community leaders, activists, chefs, scientists and students! Join 4 Billion Dreams: The Asia Pacific Sustainable Lifestyles Challenge for a chance to win a $10,000 grant to implement your idea!
4 Billion Dreams: The Asia Pacific Sustainable Lifestyles Challenge aims to mobilise and support young people with great ideas on how to foster sustainable low-carbon lifestyles in order to turn these ideas into reality. A hackathon-style training on sustainable lifestyles will take place on 19-21 March 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand. Projects must aim to reduce the carbon footprint of lifestyles in Asia and the Pacific in one or more of the following areas of our lifestyles: food, housing, mobility, consumer goods, leisure.
(HINT - projects that take a holistic approach and interact with two or more aspects of lifestyles may be given special consideration. After all, these aspects are linked!) To engage in this challenge you must be less than 35 years old at the time of application.
You must also be a citizen of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, People's Republic of China, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Kiribati, Lao, People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Micronesia (Federated States of), Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor- Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Vietnam, Cook Islands, Niue.
You must be available to attend our Hackathon-style training on 19-21 March 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand.
