Tourism Stimulus and Investment Act (No.12 of 2014) in Saint Lucia, under the umbrella of the National Energy Policy, adopted in 2014 to facilitate the further development of the Saint Lucia tourism sector and to provide for special incentives, tax relief and exemptions for proposed, new and existing tourism projects and for related matters.

This Act allows for 100% duty exemptions on any energy efficient and energy saving equipment, devices and fittings used for the approved development. It therefore encourages sustainable tourism and sustainable building practices. It was developed by the Department of Tourism, in cooperation with other national ministries, local authorities, civil society, scientific and technical organizations and the business sector.
