Implementing the German National Program on Sustainable Consumption: the Competence Centre and the National Network

The competence centre is in charge of providing information on sustainable consumption, facilitating the cooperation of actors on sustainable consumption in Germany, organising meetings, providing individual support to actors, multipliers, associations, NGOs, businesses, etc.
The competence centre is set to further ensure the coordinated and efficient implementation of the National Programme on Sustainable Consumption involving all federal government departments as well the respective subordinate agencies. The competence center comprises the following three areas of responsibility: - Organizational as well as content-related support for implementing the National Programme on Sustainable Consumption - Providing information services for sustainable consumption. - Coordinating the scientific services with regard to the program's implementation in collaboration with the responsible departments.
