Green Economic Development (GED) Program

The Green Economic Development (GED) Program aims to introduce the concept of green economy for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This covers the utilization of environment-friendly methods and relevant strategies to avert the detrimental effects of climate change and ensure efficient use of natural resources.

The GED Program guides MSMEs in implementing environment-friendly and climate-smart processes and practices to reduce production costs, produce green products and services, and prepare for the impacts of climate change. It covers 7 environmental hotspots, to wit: (1) energy efficiency and renewal energy management, (2) water and waste water management, (3) solid and toxic waste management, (4) transport management, (5) local supplies management, (6) raw materials management, and (7) natural resources management.
