  • Published on September 19, 2018
In 2015 the Government adopted a framework programme for transition to a green economy and established an interdepartmental working group, which supervises the implementation of the set measures. To implement the framework, the government also formed the Partnership for Slovenia's green economy with interested parties from the economy, non-governmental organizations, and local communities.
The particular relevance of the framework is related to agriculture, buildings, and construction, education, energy, forestry, waste and water (traditional sectors). This publication Connected for Growth was prepared on the basis of the Framework Programme for Transition to a Green Economy, adopted by the Government of Slovenia on 29 October 2015. The Framework Programme was designed as a basis for establishing the transition process, and as the context for collaboration of all stakeholders. The preparation of the Framework Programme was coordinated by the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology; Ministry of Public Administration; Ministry of Education, Science and Sport; Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities; Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food; Ministry of Infrastructure; Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy; and the Government Communications Office.
