Federal Law on Pesticide Risk Reduction
Risks to humans, animals and the environment from the use of plant protection products must be reduced and the quality of drinking water, surface water and groundwater must be improved. Risks to surface water and near-natural habitats and damage to groundwater must be reduced by 50% by 2027 compared to the average value for the years 2012 to 2015. If the risks are still unacceptable, the Federal Council can define the reduction path to be applied from 2027 onwards.
