Investments in sustainable infrastructure will be key for building more resilient societies after the COVID-19 pandemic while also creating millions of jobs.

UNEP together with partners published 10 principles to provide a framework for decision-making on infrastructure spending for post-COVID-19 recovery and stimulus packages. The principles cover a range of important considerations, including SDG alignment, systems-level planning, employment creation, social and natural infrastructure integration, biodiversity and human rights impacts, and transparency and consultative processes.
