This research project aims to scrutinize the current system of monitoring the sustainable development in Ukraine and to improve its consistency with the globally and regionally (EU) practiced ones in order to clarify the geospatial patterns across the country based on the international and national benchmarking. The project pursues academic and educational goals of the Regional Studies and Tourism Chair of the Geography Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Assistance in the development of tools to support the implementation of Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) in Ukraine (2014-2017).
Main Activities were communication support for the promotion of SPP: trainings, publications, consultations, analysis of the market readiness, the criteria were developed for the sustainability for paints and varnishes, cleaning products, heat insulation materials, and a Handbook SPP in Ukraine.
We continue to provide the necessary advice on SPP to customers.
Ukraine’s State Environmental Policy for 2020 includes mention of technological upgrading and greening of various industries, including via introduction of EMS and CSR; improvement in the environmental properties of products; specific targets for energy efficiency in manufacturing and renewables use; promoting cleaner production and developing environmental risk assessments, raising public environmental awareness; developing eco-tourism and environmentally-oriented recreation; and others
