Workshop at ISO TC 207 Event, Berlin 2019, Guidelines for Providing Product Sustainability Information

The workshop aims to raise awareness on the Guidelines for Providing Product Sustainability Information, developed by UN Environment and the International Trade Centre’s T4SD Programme in consultation with various sustainability and marketing experts. The Guidelines aim at providing actors in the value chain and public sector professionals with information on how to make effective, trustworthy claims to consumers on product-related sustainability information. During the workshop participants will become acquainted with the principles of the Guidelines, and hear testimonials on applying the Guidelines when providing environmental information, developing sustainability claims and labels. This an official side event to the ISO TC 207 meeting in Berlin in June 2019. The expected impact is to increase awareness of the Guidelines for Providing Product Sustainability Information so that more accessible, reliable and credible product sustainability information is given to consumers.
