ENERFUND project aims to enhance investments in refurbishment of buildings across Europe by developing a tool that rates and scores deep renovation opportunities. The tool is based on a set of parameters such as Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), number of certified installers, governmental schemes running, quality of heating systems, etc. By providing a rating for deep renovation opportunities, energy service or product companies can identify customer segments based on their needs, environmental department heads can assess and compare buildings when prioritising deep renovation and deciding on fund allocation and Financial institutions can provide targeted loans for building retrofits. Development of a tool to enhance investments in deep renovation accross Europe, market research and network building. The ENERFUND project thus aims to increase investments in heavy renovation of buildings by acting on three components: • awareness and trust of stakeholders (customers, project manager, funders) • promotion of mechanisms and methods to access finance • highlighting reliable renovation opportunities The expected results are an acceleration of investments in deep renovation of buildings. In quantitative terms, the energy savings generated by the use of the tool could reach 45GWh (35GWh related to the renovation of 200 buildings and 10GWh related to the promotion of renewable energies) as well as 3GWh obtained through training activities and dissemination.
