Global Assembly to bring together stakeholders from the Buildings and Construction sector to discuss sustainable development on 26-27 March 2020

The Global ABC brings together the building and construction industry, countries and stakeholders to raise awareness and facilitate the global transition towards for low-emission, energy-efficient buildings.  With its creation, GABC members acknowledged that the buildings and construction sector can contribute significantly to achieving climate goals and the common objective of limiting global warming to well-below 2 Celsius (2°C).

Following the release of it’s flagship publication, the 2019 Global Status Report for Buildings and Construction, the GlobalABC Assembly will take place 26-27 March 2020 in Berlin, Germany, directly following the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD). The Assembly is generously hosted by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), with support from the German Energy Agency (dena).

One event featured at the assembly, "Forging regional pathways towards a zero-emission, efficieint and resilient buildings and construction sector: The GlobalABC Regional Roadmaps" will be the soft launch of the The Global Roadmap of GlobalABC and the three Regional Roadmaps which are being finalized.  These roadmaps have benefited from members and partners who have engaged in the regional roadmaps development process by answering surveys, participating at in-person and online meetings, and providing inputs to the documents.   

It is still possible to register for the GlobalABC Assembly - those who wish to attend should fill in this short form in order to register.  Please note that all travel arrangements, including accommodation and visa application, are at the responsibility of the participants. Those participants who need help with visa procedures should the Secretariat ( in order to obtain a supporting letter.
