Why should I give to the Trust Fund?
The 10YFP Trust Fund is the principal means of collecting and allocating financial resources for the implementation of SDG 12: Ensuring Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns. By giving to the Trust Fund, you are directly contributing to the achievement of SDG 12. Furthermore, sustainable consumption and production are integral to achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda as a whole. In fact, the accomplishment of 13 of the 17 SDGs depends on sustainable consumption and production!
The Trust Fund aims to:
1) Financially support the implementation of the six thematic Programmes of the 10YFP, accelerating SCP in: Food Systems, Buildings and Construction, Tourism, Public Procurement, Consumer Information and Lifestyles & Education.
2) Support innovative SCP projects that address the national and regional priorities of developing countries and countries with economies in transition.
For examples of specific initiatives that the Trust Fund supports, you can explore this list of Trust Fund projects.
How can I give to the Trust Fund?
Giving to the Trust Fund is easy. You can simply contact the 10YFP Secretariat and indicate the amount you would like to pledge!
Providing unearmarked contributions enables support to go where it is most needed. These funds are demand-driven and allocated based on 10YFP Programme and national priorities. Donors receive an overall narrative and financial report detailing how funds are spent and the status of projects.
Earmarking contributions is also possible when the donor prefers to target a specific work area or call for proposals that contributes to the objectives of the 10YFP.
