About my work

Associate Professor Usha Iyer-Raniga is Deputy Head, International at the School of Property and Construction Management, RMIT University. She is Co-chair of a ‘Symposium on Sustainable Development Research in the Asia Pacific’ to be held at RMIT University 25th-28th July 2017’ in partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University, HAW Hamburg, under the auspices of the Inter-University Sustainable Development Research Programme (IUSDRP). Usha’s primary interest is in sustainability of the built environment, in achieving practical solutions to ensure sustainable outcomes for the users of the built environment. Usha has been involved as an expert in panel discussions for Australian government, international organisations and industry including the Asia Pacific Economic Council (APEC). Currently, Usha is co-leading the Sustainable Buildings and Construction Programme (SBC) under UNEP’s Ten Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10FYP SCP).
