About my work

Dr. Thomas Green has been a national leader in market-based sustainability and integrated pest management (IPM) initiatives for over thirty years. He develops science-based agricultural sustainability programs for food companies and their supply chains to drive adoption of sustainable and IPM practices on farms around the globe, and helps companies respond to questions from stakeholders and the public about what companies are doing to address the negative impacts of agriculture. In partnership with other scientists and experts, he developed the Pesticide Risk Tool (pesticiderisk.org) which provides science-based information on pesticide-related risks. Dr. Green leads the IPM Institute's consulting work to support farmers across the globe in reducing use of high-risk pesticides and other sustainability practices. He holds a PhD in entomology from the University of Massachusetts.
