About my workI am currently the General Secretary of African Union of Conservationists (AUC), a regional NGO membership for organizations and an educator. I have led the union to strengthen the north south collaboration in the past years to frontier the best conservation management practices in Africa. I am a practitioner researcher in biodiversity, ecology, certified integrated environmental impact assessment (EIA). My interests to-date are environmental offsets in a wider applications and how these help to alleviate poverty in susceptible communities that live around protected areas. These are reflected in my publications which span ecology, climate change, earth science, systemic and data scientist and ethics. I teach the persistent organic pollutant (POPs) course at Department of Wildlife and Animal Resource Management (WARM), College of Veterinary Medicine, Makerere University in Uganda.
