About my work

I work on incentives for farmers to adopt sustainable practices, in FAO headquarters based in Rome. We map the range of financing mechanisms, from policy-driven programmes to market-led green business opportunities and other ways of recognizing and rewarding farmers environmental responsibility. We then analyze the opportunities to adjust, redirect and combine existing public and private programmes, and offer farmers and integrated package of incentives for conservation, rehabilitation and sustainable management of agro-ecosystems. So, we work towards building enabling environments for sustainable food systems, facilitate the use and enhance opportunities for market-based and voluntary approaches throughout the supply chain towards sustainable food systems and promote investment and financing in sustainable food systems.
