Food Loss and Waste Activities from Around the World

The U.S. Department of Agriculture hosted an international roundtable webinar to discuss, “Food Loss and Waste Activities from Around the World.” Webinar speakers shared their work and experiences with national and municipal level governments to reduce food waste and increase food recycling in Denmark, South Korea, Rwanda, Chile, Peru, and the United States. The event was moderated by Dr. Jean C. Buzby, USDA Food Loss and Waste Liaison.

With over 1/3 of all food produced for human consumption lost or wasted each year, there is opportunity to make real changes to shift towards more sustainable consumption and production.
