Deborah Nabuuma

Associate Scientist - Nutrition

Deborah is a Nutritionist with over 10 years’ experience in nutrition-sensitive agriculture research for development in Eastern Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific. Her work is focused on understanding and enhancing food environments, consumer behaviour and dietary intakes to support access, availability, and consumption of healthy diets from sustainable food systems. As well as enhancing the utilization of agrobiodiversity, and integration of nutrition in farming and seed system interventions to enhance food and nutrition security. Deborah has a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from Stellenbosch University.
